Puan Suriyany Abd Majid graduated from the University of Liverpool in 1993. She subsequently pursued the Certificate in Legal Practice at Brickfields College and obtained the Certificate in 1996.

Upon completion of her pupillage at Messrs Harbans Wan Salina SS Gill & Co, she was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on 18 February 1997. She thereafter joined Messrs Sazali & Lim as a legal assistant before joining the present firm as a partner.

She is currently a partner of the firm and has extensive experience across a broad spectrum of litigation, conveyancing, and corporate advisory matters.

Banking and Financial Litigation

  • Debt recovery for financial institutions, including civil recovery actions, foreclosure proceedings, land enquiries, auctions, bankruptcy, and winding-up proceedings;

  • Legal proceedings arising from hire-purchase transactions;

  • Execution proceedings including writ of seizure and sale, garnishee proceedings, judgment debtor summons, writ of possession, and related enforcement mechanisms.

Civil and Commercial Litigation

  • General litigation in contract and tort;

  • Litigation involving banking and commercial transactions, including foreclosure and enforcement actions;

  • Civil disputes involving companies and directors, including boardroom disputes and shareholder conflicts;
