Dato’ Low Joo Hean
Dato’ Low Joo Hean is a highly accomplished lawyer, graduating from the Law Faculty of Universiti Malaya in 1990. He completed his pupillage under the guidance of Mr. Soo Thien Ming at Messrs Soo Thien Ming & Nashrah (formerly known as Messrs Soo Thien Ming & Shahrizat) and was admitted to the Malaysian Bar on 1st March 1991. Since then, he has been an integral part of the legal profession, joining this firm as a partner in 1992. Dato’ Low’s extensive expertise spans various legal areas, including overseeing real estate transactions, handling loan documentation, drafting contracts, corporate restructuring, and share transactions. In the realm of civil litigation, he is experienced in dealing with cases related to banking, commercial transactions, public listed companies, injunctions, appeals, and execution proceedings. With his impressive credentials and diverse skillset, Dato’ Low Joo Hean is an invaluable asset to the firm and its clientele.
Dato’ Sri Ti Lian Ker
YB Senator Dato’ Sri Ti Lian Ker, a highly experienced figure in law and politics, serves as a Consultant at Messrs Ching, Tan & Associates. He graduated with a LLB (Hons) from the prestigious University of Malaya and was part of the illustrious 1982/86 cohort from the Faculty of Law, often referred to as the ‘Golden Year’ due to the many distinguished individuals who were part of this group. With an illustrious career, he has served as a Senator, held significant positions in the government, and showcased his legal expertise as a partner at Messrs Wong, Law & Ti. His invaluable insights and deep understanding of both legal and political matters make him a key asset in shaping the firm’s legal strategy and providing high-level guidance to the team.
Suriyany Bt Abdul Majid
Puan Suriyany Binti Abd Majid graduated from the University of Liverpool in 1993 and obtained her Certificate of Legal Practice. She was admitted to the Malaysian Bar on 18th February 1997 after completing her pupillage at Messrs Harbans Wan Salina SS Gill & Co. She then joined Messrs Sazali & Lim as a legal assistant before becoming a partner at the firm. Currently, she is a partner at Messrs Ching, Tan & Associates, where she specializes in debts recovery for financial institutions, general litigation in contracts and tortious acts, legal proceedings related to hire-purchase transactions, divorce matters, family law, and general conveyancing involving sale and purchase agreements and loan documentation for banks and financial institutions.
Aaron Wong Siew Song
Mr. Aaron, who graduated with a Bachelor of Law (Hons.) from the University of the West of England in 2016, joined Messrs. Ching, Tan & Associates in End-November 2021. He is currently focused on handling developer projects, sub-sales, and perfection of transfers, charges, and housing loans documentation. Additionally, he excels in preparing and reviewing various agreements, including sale and purchase agreements, commercial agreements, and wills.
Norja binti Abdul Razak
Norja completed her law degree with Honours at Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Malaysia. After her pupillage, she was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on 20th March 2015. Throughout her career, she has been extensively involved in civil cases related to Contract Law, Land Law, Law of Tort, and Conveyancing matters. As a passionate civil litigator, Norja fearlessly defends her clients’ interests and rights. Her experience spans various legal matters, including general civil litigations in contracts and tortious acts, debts recovery, and Probate and Administration matters. She has represented individuals and companies in a wide range of cases, from Construction disputes to Land Disputes and Fraud. Norja’s expertise extends to all levels of the Courts in Malaysia.
Tang Siew Hung
Ms. Tang graduated from the Law Faculty of Universiti Malaya in 2007 and was admitted to the Malaysian Bar on 20th June 2008 after completing her pupillage at the Chambers of M/s. Ching, Tan & Associates. She remained at the firm as a legal assistant and has since been involved in various areas of work. Her expertise includes supervising conveyancing staff in real estate sale and purchase transactions and housing projects, as well as handling housing and commercial loans documentation for various banks and financial institutions, encompassing both standard documentation and documents drafted by the firm.
Chan Kim Weng
Mr. Chan holds an LLB (Hons) in Law from the University of Essex (2019) and completed his Bar Professional Training Course at BPP University, Leeds, where he was called to the Bar in England & Wales in July 2021. After returning to Malaysia, he underwent pupillage at Messrs Ching, Tan & Associates and was subsequently called to the Malaysian Bar in October 2022. As a Legal Assistant at the firm, he is actively engaged in General Civil Litigation, Probate and Administration Matters, as well as Developer Projects & Sub-sales.
Kuan Jia Yin
Ms. Kuan graduated with a first-class LLB (Hons) Law from the University of Reading in 2019. She further pursued the Bar Professional Training Course at BPP University, Birmingham, and was called to the Bar in England & Wales. After completing her pupillage at Messrs Zain & Co and being called to the Malaysian Bar, she joined Messrs Ching, Tan & Associates as a Legal Assistant. In her role, she is actively engaged in Civil Litigation and Developer Projects & Sub-sales matters.
