Mr Chua Chong Theng obtained his Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Reading in 2019. He subsequently obtained his Certificate in Legal Practice in 2022 and commenced pupillage at Messrs Nazri Aziz Masura Mak & Tan.
He was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on 31 March 2023 and continued his practice as a Legal Associate with the same firm until June 2024. He thereafter joined Messrs Koo Cheong & Sony Shee as a Legal Associate from July 2024 to August 2025. He joined Messrs Ching, Tan & Associates as a Partner in September 2025.
He has developed a broad litigation and conveyancing practice, with exposure to both contentious and non-contentious matters across criminal, civil, and property-related work.
Experiences
• Criminal law matters, including police station representations, remand proceedings, bail applications, and prison visits for client consultation and case instructions;
• Civil litigation involving contractual disputes, tenancy matters, tortious claims, and land disputes, including pleadings, case preparation, trial management, and court appearances;
• Conveyancing transactions, including sub-sale and direct developer transactions, as well as banking and loan documentation for financial institutions;
• Perfection of transfer, perfection of charge, and related post-completion conveyancing processes, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and timely completion of transactions.
